This internal fireside chat session was hosted by Teneo, and moderated by Max Holdsworth, Vice President, Teneo People Advisory, Asia. Joining him were Joyce Koh - Finance News Leader Bloomberg & Christine Fellowes, Founder of NINEby9.
The session shared and raised awareness of some key themes and challenges relating to achieving professional gender equality in the region. It also allowed the audience to benefit and learn from the panel's personal and professional observations.

We showcased NINEby9’s “Moment of Truth: Charting the Path Forward on Gender Equality in APAC.” Building upon our 2021 report, “The Moment of Truth: Nine Truths & Nine Actions,” this webinar highlighted women’s experiences across APAC and our current research project in partnership with YALE-NUS on Gen-Z expectations in the workplace in Singapore. The webinar has also outline the thought leadership necessary to chart the path towards dynamic and inclusive organizations in APAC.

NINEby9 was invited by the Asia Corporate Leadership Council to present insights from our “Moment of Truth” report. We delved deep into Singapore-specific truths on gender parity and included highlights from the Singapore Business Federation’s new report, “Uplifting Women in the Workforce: Investing in the Success of Women in Singapore,” which uncovered gaps and differences in the rate of entrepreneurship among women in Singapore.
We had an interactive panel discussion to discuss tangible examples of what would be required for real change at the individual, company, ecosystem and national level.

NINEby9 Press Conference

NINEby9 launched our first annual research report “Moment of Truth: Nine Truths & Nine Actions,” during a press conference held in November 2021. We shared our insights from interviewing over 3000 women across Asia to learn about their experiences in the workplace. Our findings covered two key areas: the gender parity landscape in Asia and the tangible actions we must take to move towards gender equality by 2030.

The Female Quotient's Asia Regional Dinner

NINEby9 Co-Founders Christine Fellowes and April Swando Hu hosted intimate break-out room discussions with various female leaders from different industries in APAC. Christine's session, "Reimagining Leadership for A New Normal," discussed the new face of leadership and how diversity is crucial to well-balanced governance. April led "Advancing the Next Generation of Leaders," sharing stories on mentorship, sponsorship and the impact of role models.
