Fiona is the CEO of the Asian Academy Creative Awards, Asia Pac’s most prestigious awards for creative excellence for TV/Film. Under Fiona’s guidance, the Asian Academy also runs year-round skills development programmes under its Academy Campus.

 

She is a highly regarded experienced media and corporate lawyer, with over 25 years of legal experience working in law firms, public listed companies, and multi-national companies and major international TV networks.

 

Prior to Asian Academy Creative Awards, she headed the legal department for OTT platform Viu (based in Singapore), where she managed all legal and corporate matters for Viu’s operations across Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Middle East and Myanmar.

 

Fiona started her legal career practicing law in a medium sized boutique law firm, after graduating from University of Malaya. Her first in-house legal career started with Star Cruises, Malaysia.  Her career in media started with the largest Malaysian based TV & Radio broadcaster, Astro.  She was then head hunted to be the general counsel for the Australian ASX listed global network broadband service provider, Speedcast Ltd, before joining the international TV networks, RTL CBS, as head of legal in Singapore.
